Your Body Is Your Temple

Markeeta_Article_1

So, the fun and frivolity of Christmas and New Year are well and truly over so the post-celebration hangover begins.

We all feel a little less motivated to get back into our regular routine around this time so how can you get your motivation levels back up? Read on to find out!

1. Have an early spring clean.

Yes, cleaning is not the most fun thing to do on the agenda but it will get you feeling super organised, which will make you feel ready to tackle almost anything!

2. Exercise.

It sounds strange but for some reason exerting energy gives you more! It’s proven that exercise releases endorphins making you feel good but it also provides you with more energy – ever had a tough workout and then an hour after felt like doing it all over again? Well that’s because exercise = more energy.

3. Your body, your temple.

After all that holiday indulging make sure you treat your body to a healthy change by thinking of your body as a car that needs quality fuel to run properly.

Now is the time to reassess your intake and incorporate more unprocessed foods – think fruit, and veggies, as these are the best type – free of nasty preservatives. By doing this you will be providing your body with the best possible base to give you more motivation.

4. Drink up.

Many people don’t drink enough water and it is so easy to get dehydrated. Swap the fizzy cordial for a more fulfilling glass of water and your body and energy levels will thank you.

5. Get out there.

It might sound obvious but get out among people and bounce off their energy to boost your own motivation – it actually works!

6. Take time out.

Along with getting out you need to have a healthy balance of rest too. Take a few hours to read your fave mag or book and relax.

Take these tips and be ready to settle back into your routine in no time – well until the next lot of holidays anyway!
