Educational Workshops
Eating Disorders Victoria facilitates practical, informative and innovative workshops for young people in primary and secondary schools and community groups across Victoria.
Student workshops aim to empower young people to challenge body ideals and stereotypes; provide participants with skills and information to feel good in their body; and connect young people if they or someone they know required further support.
Our trained facilitators are able to tailor workshops to meet the needs of your young people and school. Workshop topics can include body image, body esteem, self acceptance, media literacy, the power of words, peer and family influence, beauty and strength ideals, digital manipulation, perfectionism, the dangers of dieting and excessive exercise.
All workshops integrate the use of multi-media applications, activities and group discussion, to provide young people with a powerful educational experience.
If you would like to book a workshop or require further information please contact edv@eatingdisorders.org.au or call 03 9885 6563.
